This master en-suite blends Porcelanosa Nantes Caliza, a textured, matte off-white tile, with the Porcelanosa Lexington Colonial wood-effect tiles to create a serene, spa-like atmosphere.
Our clients desired a master ensuite bathroom that would provide a sanctuary of relaxation, a place to unwind after a busy day.
The Design
Perfect contrast against the timber beams and wooden flooring.
The client chose the Porcelanosa Ruggine Caldera tiles to complement the natural grain of the exposed wooden timbers.
The tones and colours create an eye-catching backdrop to the clean, crisp floating Duravit vanity and illuminated Keuco mirror cabinet.
A discreet Bisque radiator provides a convenient towel rail for users exiting the walk-in shower.
The Design
Where rustic charm meets modern luxury
The walk-in shower features two alcoves for placing washing essentials opposite the Keuco IXMO brassware. By maintaining an opening on the exterior wall side of the shower, natural light from the large Velux window floods into the space.
The Result
The interplay between textured timber, soft natural light, and clean architectural detailing creates a space that feels both luxurious and grounded.
Layout & Flow
The layout was carefully organised around the room’s pitched ceiling and exposed timber structure.
A central dividing wall defines the shower area while supporting the floating vanity and mirror installation. This intervention maximises the space’s full height and creates a more balanced and functional arrangement overall.
Shower & Wet Area
The walk-in shower is positioned to take advantage of the tallest section of the room, ensuring a comfortable, open experience.
Integrated alcoves provide practical storage for toiletries, while the open side of the shower allows natural light from the Velux window to move freely through the space.
Minimal detailing and frameless elements help maintain the room’s calm, architectural quality.
Bath & Relaxation
A freestanding BC Designs Viado bath provides a sculptural focal point within the ensuite.
Positioned against the backdrop of textured timber beams and warm flooring, the smooth, white gloss finish creates a clean visual contrast while reinforcing the spa-like atmosphere of the space.
Materials
Porcelanosa Ruggine Caldera tiles were selected to complement the natural grain and tonal warmth of the exposed timber structure.
The palette combines textured surfaces with crisp white sanitaryware and reflective finishes, creating a balance between warmth and clarity throughout the room.
A white Corian windowsill enhances the distribution of natural light, helping to further brighten the space.
Vanity & Storage
A floating Duravit vanity unit reinforces the light and contemporary feel of the ensuite while providing practical storage beneath.
Above, an illuminated Keuco mirror cabinet offers concealed storage and integrated lighting, keeping the space uncluttered and highly functional.
Fixtures & Brassware
Brassware and fittings were selected for their understated contemporary detailing.
Keuco and Dornbracht fixtures introduce a refined chrome finish throughout the room, while the placement of radiators and towel rails was carefully considered to enhance both practicality and comfort.
