Consideration way beyond the Kitchen.

There’s something undeniably magnetic about a home that draws in the spirit of its surroundings, where design, function, and nature come together in perfect harmony.

The Coastal View and Oak Kitchen is exactly that kind of space. Nestled by the sea, this kitchen is more than just a room; it’s the soul of the home, shaped by light, texture, and an intimate connection to the coastal landscape beyond its windows.

The Story Behind the Coastal View and Oak Kitchen

In this testimonial, our client shares her experience working with Hobson’s Choice on the design and installation of a bespoke bulthaup kitchen, created in collaboration with OB Architecture. Set within a beautifully modern coastal home, this open-plan kitchen reflects the natural tones and textures of its seaside surroundings — a calm, functional space that supports daily family life and entertaining alike

A Partnership Built on Trust and Vision

The journey began the moment the owners walked into the Hobson’s Choice showroom. They instantly knew they’d found a team that would listen deeply, understand their vision, and work tirelessly to bring it to life.

“We knew that we’d met the right people to support us for this project right from the get-go. Nothing was any trouble. They spent time with us understanding the brief in detail and worked really hard with us to enable every single detail.”

In a large renovation involving multiple suppliers, Hobson’s Choice stood out for its ease of collaboration, unwavering support, and exceptional aftercare.

Evoking the Essence of the Coast

Inspired by the sea, pebbles, and stone that surround their home, the kitchen’s palette is soft yet richly textured — a subtle nod to the natural world outside.

“We were lucky enough to have a palette offered by Hobson’s Choice that enabled us to select colours that matched all our wishes for how the home should look.”

Open-plan living brings the inside and outside seamlessly together. A spacious terrace invites fresh air and sunlight, while the kitchen itself remains a warm, elegant hub, perfect for family, work, and entertaining.

“The kitchen really is the heart of our home. Despite how much pressure we’ve put on it, it always feels and looks elegant and presentable.”

The owners emphasise how our commitment didn’t end when the kitchen was installed. Instead, ongoing care and support have made all the difference in their home’s life.

“Their aftersales and care have been unprecedented. Nothing was too much trouble at any stage.”

It’s this dedication to service, paired with meticulous craftsmanship, that turns a kitchen into something truly timeless.
